ROHL Global Networks is a long-standing telecommunications and utility construction company dedicated to connecting Canadians in rural, urban, and remote communities. We are looking for an Accountant to join our Acheson, Alberta team.
Reporting to ROHL’s Financial Controller, the Accountant will provide support for all the accounting functions and transactions of the company including; accounts payable, accounts receivable, assisting in the month and year-end close processes, financial analysis and reporting.
Key Responsibilities
- Preparation of company’s monthly bank reconciliation
- Assisting with overflow accounts payable and accounts receivable
- Assist with month-end closing and year-end closing working papers
- Review accounting system records to ensure the proper, complete, and accurate record-keeping
- WIP analysis
- Participate in budgeting processes
- Manage financial transactions
- Streamline accounting functions and operations
- Develop plans for financial growth, evaluate and manage risk
- Other duties as assigned by the controller
Qualifications
- 5+ Years experience in an Accounting role
- Accounting Diploma or Degree from College or University Required
- Experience in accounting software, ideally with Sage 300, Concur and ADP
- Valid Class 5 driver’s license and reliable transportation a must
